December 19th, 2007 by James

A woman in Saitama Prefecture mistakenly pushed the accelerator when pulling up to a 7-11 yesterday, badly injuring a customer:

A woman was arrested on Tuesday morning after crashing her car into a 7-Eleven convenience store in Kuki, Saitama. The car plowed through the front of the store, hitting a male customer. The man, who was in his 30s, was taken to hospital and remains in a serious condition, police said. The suspect and her grandmother, who was also in the car, were not injured.

Why do local news cameramen suck so badly, especially in Japan? For example the close up shot of cans and bottles on the floor. That just looks amateurish, and you’ll see similar things in most reports.
