Japanese Pig Toy Returns to Original Shape When Squashed
Gizmodo has reported on a very cool toy being sold by a Japanese company. It is a pig created from a material that returns to its original shape after being squashed:

Here is a video of the pig being thrown into a wall:
I haven’t seen these at any stores yet, but guessing from the 300 yen price mentioned at lokuloku.com and their small size, they might be ideal for capsule toy vending machines. They’re also being sold to international shoppers at DealExtreme.com, where they are priced at $2.50 each.

Thats the most cutest thing i’ve ever seen. My mind has just exploded(*_*)
I think there is already a egg made out of the same material available.
I saw something like this before in other shape like eggs and fruits. One problem with the material is that it attracts dust and dirt easily.
Seen these on sale all over shanghai. guys standing around throwing these things on the floor trying to get you to buy…
Would have gotten it but looked highly toxic…
It Liiiives!!!
Reminds me of the T-1000 in Terminator Two….
Sorry but those are everywhere in Asia…
You don’t sound very sorry…
Anyway, I haven’t seen anything like this, but I had heard about the development of the plasticy material that they’re made of.
It’s a terminator piggy!!
they have people selling these on the streets of London, except they have a not so cute rat version, so it kinda looks like road kill when its slapped to the floor, plus they also sell a tomato version
Is it just a coincidence that it looks so much like Princess Aiko’s big. Is this some kind of anti-monarchy statement by a toy company? Hmmm …
“Princess Aiko’s pig” rather.
Yes, I’ve seen them in Shanghai too. I even bought a couple in March or so — a pair for five RMB (like 70 cents). They came out for Year of the Golden Pig. I’m surprised they weren’t all over Japan too.
i’d like to know who supplies these toys, and if they come in other shapes (different animals)?
appreciate any help.
I have seen this selling on the streets of Shanghai back in September. It was selling at 3-5RMB each (appr. USD 0.5). Very cheap…
