Urgh. Why does everything have to look so dark in movies these days? Speed Racer should look more vibrant than that.

And they’re not making the Asian guy the bad guy are they? Oy vey.

Wellll, lets take a look at the records shall we? Hmm… says here the number of movies Hollywood has created based on games and other media that DIDN’T suck is 0. Well, that doesn’t look good does it….

Not a big suprise. They released Hitman a few days ago here and it’s a horrible flick. Has nothing to do with the game really, other then borrowing the name and the number. Ah well, life goes on.

Every day when I came home from school growing up, I would watch Speed Racer. From the first day of first grade until about fourth, from 4:00 to 4:30, I would adjust the rabbit-ear antenna and tune into WPGH, Channel 53, as it was Speed Racer time!

I’ve never considered myself an Otaku, not in the least. However, Speed Racer was a major huge exception.

Oh the nostalgic joy I felt when I saw this trailer! I can’t wait for the movie!

It looks like some crappy Robert Rodriguez cheap 3D Spy Kids flick, which will probably get a G rating. I don’t know if anyone has seen Hype Williams video work, but he was supposed to be the original director of this flick. It would have been amazing to see his vision of speed racer, as he is a fan of Japanese animation.

I have no idea what’s in this movie. A bunch of flying things, maybe John Goodman, uh, things blowing up, a monkey… lots of movement. Too much for one screen. Cinematic diarrhea. It hurts.
