there was no explosives in both of them just the rocket going very fast the fire was probly just leftover rocket propelant if it waz explosive it would have leveled the hole thing

if ur using frag HE rockets… the result will probably be the same no matter what light anti tank weapon u use, similarly if u use a HEAT rocket it’ll most likely punch right through regardless of what launcher used.

still, that’s quite impressive… withstanding a direct hit of the rocket and the HE frag explosion is no small feat for bullet proof glass.

after watching it again i finally understand… the glass is actually placed in a vertical rectangular layout…

the mount for the glass extends from the visible transparent window and towards the bottom.

so the second rocket in fact hit the glass directly dead on with nothing in between… however unlike the top half of the glass, the bottom half of the glass have the frame behind it and thus appear to be part of the frame because obviously if u place a transparent glass over a solid object then u will have difficulty seeing the glass. The rocket itself however hit the glass directly dead on.

it seems the second one hit the frame plus the glass,
the glass obviously r not limited to just the window area, they extend much further around the visible frame so a more accurate idea of where it was hit was the footage shown of the glass panel removed and the rocket did hit it… lower than the intended area but it hit directly.

depending on what the mock panel is made of it may or may not influenced the result, but the footage from the front area also showed that the panel over the glass is extremely thin so it probably would not affect it by much.

I’m guessing the army was Thai, and the glass from Pilkington. Either way, pretty awesome, that. I’m surprised the second did not go through the plywood frame…

I was literally jumping up and down last night when I discovered this special was on. Does anyone know if this means Trivia no Izumi is making a comeback?
