Bizarre Japanese Potato Chip Commercial

November 24th, 2007 by James

This commercial for “Consommé Punch” flavored potato chips is one of my favorites currently running on Japanese TV:

[Note: the dog is trying to cheer up the sad kid by trying a variety of hilarious actions. Finally he gives up gives the kid some chips.]

Wow, I didn’t feel too comfortable watching those last few seconds. Was he riding the dog/man?

Not ‘Consume Punch’, but ‘Consomme Punch’, actually.
‘Consomme’ means clear soup in French.

The kid was sad that he got a zero on a test and wouldn’t ride the dog. So the dog tried to cheer him up, and he got lazy after 5 minutes of trying to make him happy so he just bought him chips. Then they had sex doggystyle.

A great comment got deleted from the youtube turned off comment section:

“I don’t understand Japanese but I am pretty sure the dog said, I will honor you with potato chips.”
