In fact, looking at the Japanese article, I suspect he&#039;s a zainichi. They say 韓国籍, rather than 韓国人, and while I don&#039;t know for certain, I suspect that means he&#039;s a zainichi rather than a &#039;full&#039; foreigner. Also he&#039;s unemployed, and while it&#039;s certainly possible to be unemployed in Japan as a foreigner (yes, legally) it does lend weight to the zainichi idea. 

Oh, and looking up &quot;呉吉身　在日&quot; will give you an interesting selection of rabid anti-Korean websites and blogs....</description>
