Blogger Arrested by South Korean Police

Not surprising at all. After all, this is the same country in which death threats were hurled at Apollo Ohno for beating one of their countrymen fair and square. Also, where the Korean judges bribed the Olympic officials in boxing which cheated Roy Jones out of his victory. THiis also the same country in which people spit and curse you calling you “nigger” or “bastard” right in your face if you are a foreigner mingling with a local woman.

Seriuosly, I thought Japan was racist until I went to Korea for a month. I much prefer the “sumimasens” to the spitting and screaming of racial epithets in one’s face.

I am also an American (US Army), but I’ve personally seen countless incidents of stupid public behavioral acts committed by a lot of ‘foreigners’ (white, black, etc, mostly from the US) in Korea and Japan. A lot of these non-asian males go into these Asian countries with wrong attitude, critisizing every little aspects of the country’s social system and functions, never willing to appreciate or accept their cultural habits, and completely disregard their laws and regulations as if they were created by some Asian monkeys.

And of course, whenever these ‘foreign’ guys witness an actual injustice happens to one of them, they will freaking flip out and curse the hell out of the country, in this case – South Korea.
