K-1 Fighter Hiromi Amada’s Road Rage Incident
A K-1 martial artist is facing charges for beating the crap out of the driver of a truck who came a little too close to his bicycle:
The Minami-Senju Police Station in Tokyo sent prosecutors papers on Tuesday accusing Hiromi Amada, 34, a K-1 fighter, of inflicting bodily injury. Amada has admitted to the allegations.
“I thought his truck was pulling over toward my bike. I beat him because he ignored me when I warned him,” Amada was quoted as telling investigators. “I deeply regret what I did.”
Amada beat the 34-year-old truck driver and inflicted light injuries to his face and other parts of his body when his truck, which was running alongside Amada’s bicycle, came to a halt at a red light on a street in Tokyo’s Arakawa-ku in the predawn hours on Oct. 25.
