City Directly Employs Former Nova Teachers
Youtuber Japan666 has uploaded this very interesting news report about former Nova dispatch teachers being directly hired by Kinokawa City in Wakayama Prefecture:
The teachers had been working in the city’s public elementary schools as assistant teachers through Nova, but when the company went under, the schools were students were left without teachers in the middle of a school year. As there was no middleman company available, the city has taken the rare step of directly re-hiring the teachers. City officials aren’t really sure if this direct hiring practice will continue into the future, and are currently thinking about their opinions for the coming year. The foreign teacher interviewed seemed relieved by the move, as he had just got a new apartment and would have had trouble making loan payments if he was unemployed.
