Police Arrest Japanese Mangers of Philippine Pub

November 2nd, 2007 by James

Fuji TV reports on the arrest of 4 men who managed a “pub” in Philippine “pub” in Tokyo:

The managers had arranged fake marriages to Japanese nationals for the Filipina women employees of their business, and forced them to work for a mere 500 yen ($4.35) a day in “food money.” The arrests are said to be part of a nationwide crackdown by police on sex businesses that illegally arrange fake marriages for foreign female workers.
