Nova Bunny Costume Girl Talks to FCCJ

Representatives of Nova teachers spoke to the Foreign Correspondents Club of Japan today, and the pink bunny costume girl participated (video clip also contains more footage of Sahashi’s super office):

She claims her costume is intended as a “mockery” of Sahashi’s mismanagement, but are TV viewers really going to watch her and take this press conference seriously? When you’re trying to bring notice to a grave and desperate situation in which unpaid employees are broke and starving, don’t clown-up the press conference with a pink bunny costume!

I thought the same thing when I saw a picture of this girl on Mainichi this morning. Does she really think people are going to take her seriously? Is that really the best way to mock NOVA?

At a rough estimate, I would say that the *monthly* rent for Sahashi (used to think his name was Saruhashi)’s private palace is about the same as the after-tax *yearly* income of a NOVA teacher….

hmmn, but that pink bunny is the NOVA mascot, and its not entirely stupid of her to come dressed up in that to display an irony.

Okay, what I meant to say was I have a lot of sympathy for Nova teachers until I see videos like this or anything else I’ve seen on TV. Seriously. It looks like Lamda Lamda Lamda is protesting something. Put on a suit and tie and send someone out who speaks some intelligent sounding Japanese. A bunch of unkempt, disoriented foreigners is not helping the situation. And by the way, the Japanese government doesn’t care and won’t ever care. Go home or get a new job: just don’t embarrass yourself.

I agree. Looking at the initial protests it was embarrassing seeing all these unkempt foreigners. No wonder they have little support. Presentation is key, particularly in a society like Japan.

IMHO Nova was always corrupt and the over one year teachers left are just fools for staying so long.
