Yamanote Light Vandalism Video

October 30th, 2007 by Claytonian

[edit: thought the light vandalism was reported this year, word is this video is actually from last year's revelries.]
Just thought I would put this up while the controversy is still fresh. This is a video that includes footage of when the lights were taken out on the Halloween train invasion.

BTW, my take on the whole thing: Have fun, while not being an ass. In fact, that is just common sense really.

Stop adding fuel to the fire, that video is 2006.

Just trying to document things; that’s what we do.

Are you telling me they vandalized the lights in 2006 too? Can you tell me where the original video info is?

Actually, the video says it was upped a week ago, so it might be from 2006. I actually recall reading on some forums last year about disabling lights being part of the “tradition” of the Yamanote Train party.

This whole Yamanote Halloween Train thing is starting to get a little old. There was IRL dumbness on the gaijins’ part, and online trollishness on 2ch’s. That’s about all I got out of reading the Halloween Train entries.

I’m all for a good time, but I think you should never use public facilities that other people have to use for your antics. Not everyone has time to be in on your cute little joke. Also, if a bunch of JP people from Japan came to my country (U.S.) and took over a train I would “help” the police arrest them. These people in Tokyo may have been trying to have fun but they should have been stopped.
