Japan Photo of the Week: Japan’s Top Fall Spots Part 4
We have almost made it into November, when most of Japan starts to experience the fall season. So through the end of November I will be sharing with you some the best fall spots Japan has to offer (in no particular order). Also, if you got a good place you want to share, please leave a comment and let us know! It is no secret that Kyoto is one of the best places to visit for a tourist, but how is it during the fall? Amazing. The only thing is, with over 1600 Buddhist Temples and more than 400 Shinto Shrines, it can be difficult to choose where to go. One suggestion is Kokedera.
Kokedera, aka Moss Garden Temple, has a fairly large garden and temple grounds covered with, well, moss. In the fall, the moss looks great with the reds, oranges and yellows; however, there are two drawbacks. You need a reservation and the price for admission is 3000 yen, but for one time, I thought it was worth it. Also they give you a time limit, but when I was there I didn’t notice anyone getting kicked out for staying too long. For more photos and access information take a look at the Japan Photo Guide.
