Aum Shinrikyo Founder Sang Creepy Songs

October 24th, 2007 by Claytonian

Well, not so creepy if you don’t know the source, but eerie by association with Shoko Asahara, the would-be messiah behind the Sarin gas attacks. Check out the tracks at Beware of the Blog! Does anybody know if these songs are his originals, or based off of pre-existing songs? They sound a bit like children’s folk songs to me.

I don’t think it is based off on preexisting songs.

Some say they were his original but others say that they were produced by a member of Aum.

If you are interested in the other songs.

If you ever get the chance watch the documentary called “A”, it follows some of the cult members (mainly the cult member reluctantly in charge of press) a year after the sarin attacks, in that you hear some of the haunting chants that the cult members listen to while sitting in uncomfortable positions and eating their vegetable protein meals which i’m assuming helps to brainwash the cult members.

Its very good

Second that – an excellent doco if you can get your hands on it. It was interesting to see some of the police tactics against the cult members as well. If they weren’t identified as police it would have been easy to mistake them for Yakuza.

yeah those scenes when the police were attacking them were brutal, but to be fair its mostly because of fear and the press were unrelenting aswell.
