Riyo Mori Allowed to Board Flight Without ID

October 16th, 2007 by James

Apparently there is a new show airing on MTV in America called Pageant Place, a reality show about several beauty queens, including Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori, living together in an Apartment. Here is a clip of Riyo arriving for a flight and forgetting that she needed some form of identification to be issued a boarding pass:

From the New York Post:

October 10, 2007 — NEW York airports are now making security exceptions for graceful girls with big smiles. A tipster who saw the first episode (airing tonight) of MTV’s new reality show, “Pageant Place,” told us that when Miss Universe Riyo Mori forgot her ID while trying to board a flight from JFK to Bloomington, Ind., she convinced a TSA agent to let her through – by flashing her sash. “First she showed her head shot, but it didn’t work . . . so then she just pulls out her sash and the agent sent her through to security,” gasped the snitch.

Anybody out there in America want to let us poor expats know how Riyo is doing on the show? Has she won hearts, or annoyed millions of viewers?

I saw the show when it first aired. Her personality is not annoying at all. Her personality is cute. She doesn’t get a lot of airtime compared to the other three since she doesn’t seem to talk a lot. Maybe she is shy. Just give her time because from the preview for the season, she seems to step out of her bubble. I can tell you who will be annoying. It’s Miss Teen USA and the former Miss USA Tara Connor. Ryo and Rachel (the current Miss USA) are nice and acts appropriately for their age. I can’t say the same for the other two.

Hey, I’m all for downsizing security in airports. It just gets in the way and congests our airports.

I wonder if they’d let you pass if you present a sash that says ‘Ms. Terrorist 07′ on it…
”Ahh yeah, I saw you on CNN, right this way please.”

Wait, there are people who still watch MTV? What’s wrong with those people…

So far she’s doing well on the show. She didn’t get much tv time, but that’s probably because they were too focused on Tara.

She’s annoying enough in the clip, just sitting there dumb-struck while everyone else is trying to get her in. Ms. Universe is also supposed to be somewhat intelligent, yet, having been to Canada was it, doesn’t even remember she needs her passport or even ID? What a complete moron, and at least bother to take off those $10 shades which everyone in Japan seems to be wearing these days…she should pay that French lady who helped her win to continue to give her advice. Sigh…I can understand why most Japanese don’t like her, it’s really a shame Chibana didn’t win last year.
