Japan Photo of the Week: Japan’s Top Fall Spots Part 2

Now that we are into October, fall has started to take over Northern Japan. For the next few weeks I will be sharing with you some the best fall spots Japan has to offer (in no particular order). Also, if you got a good place you want to share, please leave a comment and let us know! Last week I showed you Nara Koen and the deer that roam there, today I am sharing a photo from the Five Lakes of Mount Fuji.

So I actually chose a photo that you can’t see any of the five lakes or Mount Fuji, but I promise there are 5 lakes and one very big mountain close by and I had a reason for choosing this photo. During fall (and cherry blossom season) many places do a “light up” at night which is usually really beautiful. So if you go traveling in the fall, be sure to find out which places do this! If you make the trip to the Five Lakes of Mount Fuji, besides the lakes and the mountains I strongly recommend taking a look at the amazing kimono museum. If you would like more information about the Five Lakes of Mount Fuji, check out the Japan Photo Guide.

This photograph was taken by Evan Pike. If you would like to buy or see more or larger photos take a look at the gallery.
