Typhoons Really Blow

With a huge typhoon bearing down on the Tokyo area, today’s Real Time News decided to put on of their reporters in a typhoon simulation room to show us the effects of such a storm:

The actual storm is actually stronger than that simulation, so it would probably be a good idea to avoid going outside tomorrow if you live in the Kanto area…

It’s funny to see how people keep clinging to their destroyed umbrellas, like some kind of life preserver. “It’s raining! I must hold this over my head!!”

does anyone know the train situation? after sitting in KitaSenju for an hour trying to get to Matsudo I gave up and have been holed up at a friends house so it’s hard to get train info. since he doesnt have the internet.

My Fiance has to go to work in this. She came home soaked with her broken umbrella last night.

BTW Why didn’t they just go outside?

Ha, I just got my plane ticket to Tokyo today and I’m leaving in a few weeks. It’s a good thing my new digital camera only costed $600.00
