Final Fantasy Potion In A Can

August 31st, 2007 by James

Suntory and Square Enix are teaming up to release a special canned edition of their Final Fantasy VII potion drink. The cans, which go on sale October 23rd, will have 16 different versions, each depicting a character from Final Fantasy VII. the potions will be priced at 191 yen a can, which is about 1.65 US dollars. While it is a limited edition drink, the fact that 4.8 million cans will be put on sale probably means they will be widely available across Japan!

Was I the only one that was really a fan of this drink? I mean the bottles that it was in the first time it came out were cool, but the liquid inside was kind of ‘meh’.

Opps. I meant ‘not really a fan of this drink.’

When I was living in Japan last year I bought some of the potion drinks. Being a fan of the series, I just had to buy them out of their sheer novelty value. However, I found their taste to be unspectacular. Not bad, just not as great as any of the other multitude of drinks available (the variety of which is something I sorely miss about Japan).

These kind of remind me of the Star Wars promotional pepsi cans from 1999

Does anyone know when the Blu-ray version of Advent Children comes out? I’ve been waiting on that thing forever!
