Another Dance Competition For Little Girls
Here’s a news report on a talent/dance competition for kids was held the other day:
Some of the dances, such as the cheerleader one, were pretty cute and fun looking. However, it was somewhat disturbing to see that other group of little girls dancing is hoed-up outfits to Fat Joe rapping about it being “kind of hard not to kill niggaz.” What do you think?

Somebody should tell them what the lyrics says.
When Japanese listen to rapping, they don’t understand
what it says, they just react to the rhythm. (I myself find it hard to comprehend English songs.) It will be
very disturbing to them if the meaning is explained.

It’s the same in any country where the native tongue isn’t English, even in the west. In those countries, cursing outside the native tongue isn’t considered harmfull.

Glad to see that months and months of practicing in the train station has finally paid off….

Maybe they should set limits or dress codes for the children’s wardrobes. Not all of them were “hoed-up” as James like to call it. The kid that was break dancing impressed me. Now I got to go listen to Thriller, I can’t stop thinking about that song since one of the kids was dancing to it.

i don’t see the point of dressing so little as some of the groups were. It’s just dancing, not a fashion contest.

some of those costumes were just totally inappropriate. D:
the dancing is fine; quite a lot of them were very good, but they need to remember (anyone who has a child in such a competition) their ages.
the cheerleader one was cute. :3

I know Missy Elliot likes to use younger dancers in her videos. Someone should send her a tape of those *Barbie* girls. The ones in Red. They were pretty good!
