    Yesterday afternoon’s Real Time News aired a segment about how America educates its children on the topic of the atomic bombs:

    We are shown a veteran who served on the USS Indianapolis giving a talk to American elementary school children, expressing that he has no regrets about having transported the bombs to the airbases from which they would eventually be dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Teachers and children are shown to hold a viewpoint that is pretty common in America; that dropping the atomic bombs brought the war to a quick end and possibly even saved lives in the process. We are also shown a few Americans holding minority opinions on the bomb. The Japanese narrator ends the segment by declaring that the differences between American and Japanese views continue…
