There was a story a little while back about a cucumber with a leaf growing out of it. OMFG! A Leaf! Seems a strange thing for a nation to get excited about. And then there is that whole thing about cube shaped watermellons..... The Japanese seem to get quite excited about unusually shaped vegetables (Though, of course the Tomato isn’t a vegetable, it is in fact an Insect :) ).
