A Black Foreigner Is Robbing Convenience Stores In Tokyo

This shocking footage of a robbery that took place a few days ago aired on today’s afternoon news:

The thief is described as a black male about 180 centimeters tall and wearing sunglasses. As you can see, he pretended he was buying a bottle of Jinro liquor so that he could get the store manager to open a cash register. Soon after, a man fitting his description carried out another convenience store robbery in a nearby area of Tokyo. It is believed that this man has used the same pattern to rob other convenience stores in Tokyo, and police are currently searching for him.

That man isn’t hurting or threating the cashiers, so it’s theft, not robbery.

The way he lunged at the cash register and grabbed the cash can be seen as intimidation or force, so I doubt authorities would be generous enough not to consider it robbery.

If you think optimistically, it’s probably good that this would be considered big news in Japan. Shit like this happens all the time in the US, and people end up getting killed.Then again, maybe it’s big news because the dude was black.

Man, In America, he would have gotten his ass kicked. Did you guys see the video (very very recently) of this dude who pulled out a big knife and tries to rob a store but when the robbery starts to go bad and he leaves the owner kicks his ass and ties him up for the cops XD Now THATS big news,

Black foreigner? Why is the word “foreigner” used in the headline? I imagine there are not many black Japanese nationals, but this report should make it clear how it’s known that he’s a foreigner.
