Next to (and kind of part of) the Tokyo Dome is LaQua, a shopping, dining, and entertainment center. Besides having my favorite yakiniku restaurant, Jojoen, LaQua has this really interesting roller coaster ride that goes through the building and the “world’s first center-less ferris wheel.”

At first I felt like this place was a little gimmicky, and while it may be the case, as the sun began to set and the light turned golden, I began to warm up to it. There are a couple of other rides at LaQua and also paces to eat, shop and even a spa! You could easily spend a half a day there if you are looking for something to do in Tokyo. If you want more information about the Tokyo Dome and LaQua or wanna see a photo of the coaster coming out of the building, take a look at the Japan Photo Guide.
