Human Poop Halts Japanese Train

July 2nd, 2007 by James

A gross story from Nikkan Sports, translated by ZERO:

The stool was spread out on the rapid train of JR Kobe line, It was scattered over five cars. It was cleared but the smell remained so badly that the train had to stop for a while at Kobe station. It affected about 4000 people. Despite the fact 1200 passengers were on the train, there was no witness. The police concluded that this was not the case of a crime. It is most likely that a person could not help it on the way to the restroom of the rear vehicle. According to JR Kobe, it was exceptional case that a train was stopped running by the stool.

I know it was one of you, readers: Come on and confess!

I think the translation should have said it was the smell that was spread across 5 cars.

Dare I say this story is a load of crap?

Hmmm. No witnesses? I’ll bet there were witnesses, but they definitely do not want to relive it….
About the translation: it says in the original “5両にわたって床に大便が散乱しているのが見つかった” so the poo was indeed over five cars. The bloke probably put his foot in it – or was it a bloke? Skirts would be easier….

Does this remind anyone else of that one osu tatakae level where you’re the orchestra guy and you’re sick?

No witnesses in FIVE cars in KOBE?

That seems almost, well, crap.

Also, where were the guy’s pants? If it was spread out over 5 cars, this means that some person was running the course of 5 cars with his pants around his ankles.

People really have to look up from their keitais a bit more often, eh?

As to his pants – well, in my post I suggested it could have been a women wearing a skirt. Isn’t it rather sexist of us all to assume it was a male?

Don’t forget the possibility of a man who his his pants, with the shit dripping down his pantlegs and smearing along the floor as he walked!

I certainly have not, which is why I am only suggesting it *could* have been a women in a skirt. Having no direct experience of having crap dribble out my trousers, I am not sure how easy it would be – perhaps more with undershorts rather than briefs – but am disinclined to experiment….

You’re right it IS sexist for Nicole and others to say it was a man, as if only men could be gross…

It could have been a woman. Women complain all the time about sexism, yet some of you make sexist omments about men all the time! As if only men could be disgusting slobs!! I once saw a homeless woman s*it in the street and she was laughing! Women can be gross too!
