Speak Fluent Japanese Without Saying A Word

June 23rd, 2007 by James

YouTubers Ken Tanaka and Remi February teach us how to speak fluent Japanese without saying a word:

Ken’s search to find his American biological parents recently made news on Japanese news port Ameba(article in Japanese). If you’re interested in knowing more about him, you might also want to see this link.

I love Ken Tanaka, but I am afraid if someone did that to a native Japanese, she would think something is seriously wrong with him.
I know Mr. and Mrs. Tanaka, who are looking for the their adopted son. They are very worried about him because, well, he sometimes acts funny. Maybe Ken Tanaka should meet them before they find out their biological parents.
BTW, I think “Doumo” and “maa, maa” are very convenient words useful in almost every context.

This confirms it: Ken Tanaka is a fake. He is descending into farce.

you have to ask the question why he’s talking english in a japanese accent. i doubt he was adopted in japan in the 70’s, so he’s a fake.

Of course he is a “fake”! The whole thing is a joke! And it is a hilarious joke! Calling him a “fake” is like calling John Cleese a “fake frenchman” in his role in “Monty Python’s Holy Grail”. Having lived in Japan for 6 years, I perfectly understand Ken Tanaka’s humor, and it has given me some of the best laughs I’ve had in years!
