Bruce Willis flew into Japan earlier this week one morning, staying for one day and flying out of the country that evening. During the day, he did some promotional stuff for Die Hard 4.0 and did a few extremely short 4-5 minute interviews with Japanese news programs. Here are some highlights:

Bruce starts the clip by saying “Genki desuka” [basically "How are you?"], in one of the worst foreign pronunciations I’ve ever heard hollywood celebrities give in Japan. But it’s ok, he’s John McClane, so we can forgive him. In the next part of the clip, he meets an interviewer introduces himself as Keisuke, which Bruce takes to be “kiss kiss.” Ah, the joys of intercultural communication…

Bruce also was given an award by the Tokyo police department:

Hollywood star Bruce Willis, 52, was named honorary chief of the cyberterrorism task force by the National Public Safety Commission in Tokyo on Tuesday. “You are promoted to assistant commissioner and are given the title of honorary chief of the special task force,” the head of the National Public Safety Commission, Kensei Mizote, told the star who is in Japan to promote “Die Hard 4.0.” Mizote asked Willis to “lead the world to create a safer society.” “Domo arigato,” Willis replied in his limited Japanese.

Maybe Bruce can do something about the recent bumbling mistakes that resulted in a huge number of confidential police records being leaked all over the net?
