Uhhhh…I watched the show with my Japanese girlfriend and she said that Hiro and his sister were the only ones who spoke with natural sounding Japanese. I don’t know what you’re talking about Annie.

he went to past-japan, so i wonder if he’ll be his own ancestor, like Fry did on Futurama. and what’s wrong with Hiro’s japanese? George Takei’s is pretty annoying, and so was that waitress girl with the brain tumor or whatever, but i thought Hiro and his friend were fluent?

The guy who played Hiro can’t speak Japanese. NBC should pay his Japanese lesson or maybe his Japanese teacher is slacking off.
