Riyo Mori To Join 'Heroes' Cast?
A new article about Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori reveals that she is hoping to join the cast of the popular TV series ‘Heroes’:
She said she is hoping to devote herself to her new role — which includes acting as a spokeswoman for AIDS issues — and is also looking for a possible role on the TV series “Heroes,” broadcast by NBC, which has rights to the Miss Universe pageant.
“As soon as I won Miss Universe I had this big chance,” Mori, who teaches jazz dance at her mother’s studio in Shizuoka near Mount Fuji, said. “I’ve never acted before. I went to the casting audition and read a script in English and Japanese, and they said it was really good. So I hope I can be in the show.”
Mori said her role would be “Yaeko,” a love interest for one of the main characters.
Perhaps a love interest for Hiro?

finally, someone that can speak natural-sounding Japanese on the show? I don’t mean to disparage the others, but…

wow I hope this works out and she joins in an important role. I am a big fan of this show and my favourite Hero is Hiro ^_^

The guy who played Hiro can’t speak Japanese. NBC should pay his Japanese lesson or maybe his Japanese teacher is slacking off.

he went to past-japan, so i wonder if he’ll be his own ancestor, like Fry did on Futurama. and what’s wrong with Hiro’s japanese? George Takei’s is pretty annoying, and so was that waitress girl with the brain tumor or whatever, but i thought Hiro and his friend were fluent?

Uhhhh…I watched the show with my Japanese girlfriend and she said that Hiro and his sister were the only ones who spoke with natural sounding Japanese. I don’t know what you’re talking about Annie.

well my j-girlfriend also agrees that Hiro’s Japanese is terrrible, and that he must not have grown up in Japan. . .George Takei on the other hand did grow up in Japan and is a native speaker, but anyone who knows him knows that he has his own insane way of over-enunciating his English so I’m sure his Japanese also suffers from something like that. . …
