Japanese Self Defense Forces Head To Battle….

June 10th, 2007 by James

…against mother nature:

TOKYO (Reuters) – Japan is preparing to mobilize troops to deal with wild animals such as boars, bears and monkeys.

Having debated since March on how to stop the animals from attacking crops and entering residential areas, a group of ruling party politicians has agreed to call on the military for help, the Asahi Shimbun daily reported on Sunday.

Under the ruling party’s plan, subject to approval from party executives, local leaders will be able to request help from the country’s Self defense Forces to build fences and set traps.

Some in the party are also calling for troops to use guns, the Asahi said.

But the defense ministry is cautious on the use of weapons, it said. Japan’s military activities are strictly curtailed by its pacifist constitution.

Using weapons against wild animals: unconstitutional?

That’s just Asahi looking up to it’s master (China) asking for a pat on the head. Within a week China will lodge a formal complaint, and within 2 the red-headed stepchild that is Korea will be out in the streets chopping off fingers just as instructed to by daddy-China, never-mind that he’s a drunk and abusive to said red-headed stepchild.

Being the only newspaper to consistently report on every news story is considered, “looking up to its master”?

You have a problem with the “liberal media”, too, eh?

I have no problem with the “liberal media”, my problem is with Asahi Shimbun and their contract with the Chinese government to not say anything to critical of China in exchange for being published domestically.

You’ll be hard to find an international dispute/relations problem Japan is involved in that Asahi didn’t start. Biggest and best example, Yasukuni.

Right. Now maybe you could offer proof instead of a user-edited website with a big banner across the top saying, “THIS ARTICLE HAS NO SOURCES”.

That’s wikipedia’s polite way of saying, “THIS ARTICLE IS COMPLETE TOMMYROT”

If you believe wikipedia on issues like this, you need to get your gullibility levels checked.
