Burger King: Opening Friday In Tokyo

Just a reminder to all you fast food fans out there: Burger King will open a restaurant in Tokyo on June 8th:

Burger King returns to Japan this Friday, with the first store opening in Nishi-Shinjuku. (previous mention about the return of Burger King here)

The Burger King is located within the Shinjuku Island Tower building, taking over the premises of a Lotteria burger joint (the BK franchise is being developed by Lotte which owns the Lotteria chain).

A second Burger King restaurant is set to open later this month in Ikebukuro’s Sunshine City, with more to come across Japan. Don’t expect it to be the same as it is in the states, though: Lotte will be running it as an “upscale” Mos Burger-style restaurant. For more information, check out the official Burger King Japan site (there isn’t much there now, but it will probably be updated within the next week).
