Yellow Sand Alert (May 26th Edition)
Another wave of Yellow sand has been blown in with the winds from China:
Yellow sand was observed in wide areas across Japan Saturday morning, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.
In several observation points in the Chugoku, Shikoku and Kyushu regions, visibility fell to around five kilometers due to the phenomenon, according to the agency.
It said yellow sand may continue to be observed Sunday in the areas from Okinawa Prefecture to Tohoku region, northeastern Japan, and that it may affect traffic. (Kyodo)
I hope none of you here in Japan got your cars washed yesterday, because they’re getting caked in sand as we speak!
