Here’s an interesting Japanese TV report on the threat of Chinese enviromental pollution, uploaded and translated by YouTuber http://youtube.com/user/yamataoroci4:
What a terrible cycle for China. They keep manufacturing products to increase their coffers at the expense of their health as well as the health of their future generations. And instead of their government to help them out of that perpetual cycle of death; what do they do? They suppress that information. If they only look to Japan as an example. It’s only in the 21st century was Tokyo Bay clean enough to eat the fish again.
Too bad everyone (all over the world) relies so heavily on China for it’s massive manufacturing infrastructure.

Shame on China!
China & USA are the world biggest pollutanting nations.
But japan did the same thing in the past, you think Japan is clean?
When japan occupied most of east asia, your ancestors did worse environmental damage to rest of asia, not too mention japan provoke US to drop A-bomb twice. What a dumb choice that was.
Here is couple of simple lessons for Japanese readers:
Lesson 1 – never mess with big guys
Lesson 2 – clean your self before telling others how dirty they are
Lesson 3 – senseless or cold blooded killing is sin
Lesson 4 – Nuclear power is bad = produce worse pollutants
Lesson 5 – Rest of east asia have access to nuclear weapons – Please don’t provoke another war otherwise more A-bombs will drop
Lesson 6 – tell truth about WWI/WWII & pacific war

Benon, I understand your frustration. I personally find the horror background music at the beginning of the video (and the “OMG” attitude) hypocritical. However, this is not the time to point fingers. China is currently facing some major environmental issues, and they will continue to worsen as the people keep pushing for aggressive economic development. Sure, Japan is taking the “as long as you don’t affect us” attitude in this video, but I think it’s about time China reviews the consequences of its actions, as the Earth is a shared planet. Making neighbouring countries sick by pursuing its own economic goals will not look impressive on China’s agenda.
As a side-note, one thing I’ve noticed with a lot of patriotic Chinese commenters is that they simply can’t accept constructive critique. It’s especially prominent when a Japanese person is the critiquer. I understand that the Chinese commenters probably take the critique as a personal attack, but how would a country improve if it’s always showered by praise? It’s rather ironic, because a Chinese student would be criticized by teachers and parents in China for his/her performance, but the Chinese population as a whole can’t accept any foreign input. Does this show a nation-wide trend of low self-esteem, I wonder?

Chinese pollutuion is not only Japanese problem but also American problem already.
Following is long article of Epoch Times.
>It spreads the mercury contamination to the United States from China.
——————————————————————————–
【 Japanese large era April 16】It is said that the mercury generated in the thermal power plant with traditional coal will flow to the United States with air pollution from a Chinese continent according to the report of United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Mercury is said that the U.S. authorities are started from a poisonous heavy metal it that destroys man’s nerve system, and the adjoining countries also are tightening one’s guard.
This “China pollution” showed to chief Stephen Johnson of Environmental Protection Agency that visited China the direct impact it most for the United States according to reports on the Financial Times paper April 12. Mr. Johnson says that the U.S. authorities will already have begun the pursuit of “Mercury deposit” of a high content from China and India.
Mr. Johnson pointed out that a chemical Teki grainy material that had flowed from China had been discovered for the director of a bureau of Chinese environmental protection total bureau (SEPA) and Shuuucashico in the east and west coast in the United States. The border especially showed that it was not to Mr. Johnson in the pollution of mercury.
53% originates in Asia and Africa of 18% is 2nd place according to the report of research of the United Nations. the top world it pollute of nature and artificial mercuryU.S. Environmental Protection Agency warned that the amount of a metallic exhaust was 4400?7500 ton during year in the world. The diffusion problem of mercury on an atmospheric inside was given at a wide-ranging environmental conference as for the rice inside last November, and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is cooperating in the control of the mercury exhaust gross weight of China.
On the other hand, it is necessary to worry about the content of mercury in the atmosphere and the waterway in China. Mercury accumulates in fish and animal’s inside of the bodies, and man is, a congenital ..eating.. defect as for it, and the possibility of becoming an occurrence of the growth problem and cancer is thought to be high.
Moreover, Chiangsu province in a Chinese east part was a place on which the factory was concentrated, and the water quality was inspected after this year, and various heavy metals’ including mercury, cadmium, and lead being included became clear 41% in fishes.
Mr. Johnson accounted for 40% of the world by the cement production of China, and assumed that it was pointed out that it was a source that generated dioxin and the franc that was the carcinogen, and the possibility to be carried by the atmosphere far as well as mercury was high, showed these materials, and showed the opinion “Pollutant with the highest toxicity known to the human race” it.
Moreover, the noxious fume such as the sulfur dioxide exhausted from the thermal power plant has already brought acid rain to a lot of regions. Central part and the east part district in China receive the damage of acid rain in the recent decade, and are expected that it transcends national borders in addition and there will be a possibility of spreading to a far district. Both of the inside sides are announced that the amount of the exhaust of sulfur dioxide by this year’s coal thermal power generation will rise. Mr. Johnson clarified that U.S. Environmental Protection Agency had agreed to the conference on the toxic waste processing with the section of the environmental protection several days ago.
According to the report, the visit opened both in Mr. Johnson meetings with Shanghai harbors Administration Bureau besides the above-mentioned agreement was made for the air pollution problem in the Pacific Ocean in which it extended over the Shanghai port and the Los Angeles port. The effort to lower the grasp and the amount of the mercury exhaust of mercury residual situation in waste was aimed at for the hospital in Beijing. Moreover, the exhaust situation of sulfur dioxide that brought acid rain was investigated for the coal-fired station in Shanghai, and it conferred about the matter that would improve air pollution before Beijing Orimpic was held in the Deputy Administrator of Beijing City Environmental Protection Agency, Natorashi, and 2008. Moreover, “Measurement of the mass of air and report system” that had already been used in the city of 300 or more of the United States was announced in Shanghai.
