I might have heard that Japan has four seasons...that is part of what makes it different from most countries right?? ;-) Seriously though, Autumn starts Aug 7th here? I didn't know that, back in the states it doesn't start til late September... Did you find somewhere that in fact it is a flower that blooms first in cooler climates? In addition, summer officially started on the 5th of this month, and therefore the momiji appear in winter.
