Charles Robert Jenkins doesn’t like North Korean dog meat yakiniku (Video)
On Friday night, Japanese comedic duo Bakusho Mondai aired an interview of themselves interviewing Charles Robert Jenkins, the American deserter who lived in North Korea between 1965 and 2004, after which he came to Japan to be with his former-abductee wife. They ask him a series of yes or no questions, which I have translated back into English (they dub him over in Japanese, so it’s not entirely clear what words he uses):
Q: Do you want to return to America?
A: No. It’s not that I don’t want to, but where happy here.Q: Is Kim Jong-Il a good person?
A: No.Follow up question: What do you not like about him?
A: I could talk for over a day without pause on the things I don’t like about him.Q: Do you know Bakusho Mondai?
A: No. (After they explain that they are Bakusho Mondai, he changes his answer to “Yes.”)Q: Does North Korean yakiniku taste good?
A: No, because it’s dog meat.Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Curry rice. (His wife Hitomi is very good at making it.)Q: Do you often kiss you wife?
A: No. (They mention the famous scene when Jenkins arrived at the airport after leaving North Korean and kissed Hitomi, after which he changes his answer to “Yes.”Follow-up question about the famous kiss and how he looked in the video of it.
A: I was just walking down the stairs from the airplane at the time, so I almost lost my balance. They tell him that the kiss was very dramatic, and then thank him for answering their questions. Thanks, Jenkins-san!!

That dude is so old and has been brainwashed for so long that he will just readily agree to anything.
