I would definitely collect the money then wait 2 months before start spending in case Yakuza is trying to trick the unsuspecting gaijin. Now all I have to do is live life and try to be in the right place at the right time in order to stumble upon a couple million yen. In fact, I bet there is some strange correlation between the cases of money just being dumped/found and suicide rates/missing people. I say some yakuza feels the heat to close and then dumps the cash, then disappears or jumps on the train tracks in front of a train. I am with varbie on this one.
