Yasukuni Shrine and the legitimacy of the Tokyo War Crimes Tribunal (Video)
In this video recently posted by YouTube user oniazuma, a Japanese TV program takes a look at the Yasukuni Shrine and Class A war criminals:
The show definately looks at events from a revisionist standpoint, questioning the legitimacy of the Class A war crimes convictions and focusing on the views of the Indian judge who dissented in the court’s decision, referring to the trials as victor’s justice. It also mentions Douglas MacArthur’s opinion that Japan had been forced into the war, which conflicted with the tribunal’s view that Japan had waged an aggressive war of invasion. The show also appears to question the Japanese government’s stance of accepting the decision of the war crimes tribunal. What do you think, viewers?
