that looks so fun, there should be more stuff like this all over the world
I LOVE YOU NAGANO!!!!
Thanks for the link.
I don’t know what the heck happened towards the end of the first course. I believe I held down the shift button for too long and it does something to your keyboard. Believe me, I wasn’t TRYING to type like that. I couldn’t even type numbers and had to go back and edit them in! It was great to try to do that as it was on TV though.
I saw this program on Spike TV (America) translated into English.
Akoua Doffou: Sure it wasn’t Takeshi’s Castle? Different show, very similar premise. Heck, i’d even say this one is a carbon copy.
Takeshi’s castle? Oh yeah, I don’t think it was that, even though Spike TV broadcasts it. Oh, I saw this on the video game channel. I remember.
Ok, it isn’t a carbon copy…byt it’s pretty similar
OK, i’m a moron. I just saw the first video and immediately thought “TAKESHI’s CASTLE RIPOFF!!1!” It’s actually quite different. Looks very interesting too.
Sucks no one got to the last round this time. looks like they made the last round super difficult this year.
This is pretty awesome, very challenege, THese guys are amazing,
does this new season air on any channels in the US?
this reminded me of the viking obstacle course that was on, me thinks, espn2 over the summer
A couple of viking videos for those unfamiliar:

and

From the celebrity and family versions of Viking.
“Sasuke” airs in America as “Ninja Warrior” on the G4 cable network, with an English announcer who kind of sets up and recaps the action, but the rest is subbed, which is pretty nice. The show is great. I definitely have to watch these clips. I want to see how different “Ninja Warrior” is, compared to “Sasuke”
This show is already on US TV. It is on the G4 channel, called Ninja Warrior.

Viking is produced by the same company (Monster 9) but for a different TV station.
This is a level of punishmetn not shown in the US. G4 is behind in their Sasuke transmissions. They haven’t shown Makoto Nagano’s first win yet. That course is Entertaining… the Japanese have moved on to SADISTIC. To make Nagano do the metal spin after that new jumping bar punishment… Cruel Cruel Cruel… but genius, bring it to the US, people have been waiting since running man Feat. ARNOLD.
Actually, G4 has shown Nagano Makoto’s only win. They started airing this show several months ago, with the four most recent tournaments, ending with Nagano’s 2006 victory. After that it went on a six week hiatus. When it returned they started showing older tournaments starting with the 7th. Nagano’s victory was in the 17th. As of now the 18th tournament, which aired in late March in Japan, has not been aired on American television.
Wanting to register to compete but cannot find any info.
Guys its very hard to watch these clips with 256k connection, would you recommend any reliable and fast isp.
I will need ALOT of training, to reach that level of finesse, probably take a year or 2. I love Ninja Warrior, because I can remind myself that there are always these physical challenges available to me. I need to get enough money to go to Japan and come back to America, in most cases, I will lose, however, I think I will have fun. It looks fun, but hard. It’s so funny when their is somebody whom is supposed to be a world-class athlete does worse than a delivery boy. I give that delivery boy props!! And that 19 year old, wow, he’s very strong for his age. I wonder who can clear that, UNCONQUERABLE 3rd stage…
~Later!!
itll take way more then a year
ok, i have been searching all over the web to try to find the location of this, can anyone help me out
wow i just got into this ninja warrior thing and have now started my training for it and i really hope that i am able to compete, because this looks extremely fun and to gmoney i just found that it is a quick bus trip away from Suwa, Japan, yeah….
It sucks that people in America ccan’t try this stuff. It’d be great to compare myself to these guys.
I love watching Sasuke on TV, where in Japan is it filmed? Thanks
The show is amazing , G4 is doing a great job , i die for watch AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR!
I wanna see some USA guys trying this stuff!!
Gonna be soo funny!!
sasuke is really hot i just want to kiss him and when im big im going to japan to be a ninja.
I know this may be a stupid question, but what does “Sasuke” translate to in Japanese? I’m not finding it anywhere in my Japanese/English dictionary and I guess I’m really doubthing that it translates to “Ninja Warrior”
“Sasuke” is a boy’s name. Apparently, the show Sasuke was named after a very famous (fictional) ninja, Sarutobi Sasuke: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarutobi_Sasuke
Because the Sarutobi Sasuke stories are so famous, “Sasuke” has become somewhat of a generic ninja name. I suppose that’s why the American version is called Ninja Warrior.

Love watching Ninja Warrior. The competitions are wonderful and the athletes are great. I would like to know if the competitions will ever be avaiable for purchase on DVD in the United States? My husband and I are great fans!
So how can i compete in the show? I’ve been trying to look online for information to compete
I have been watching g4 ninja warrior for a few months. I am completely hooked on the show- can’t get enough!
Does anyone know if the athletes get any money if they get passed each stage? Or is it all for bragging rights?
Just courios, not entertaining any notions that I could get passed the first obstacle. Just courious
Go Go Naganoo
contestants are given something like 2 million yen for TOTAL VICTORY. also, I am planning a vacation in japan to try Sasuke, If anyone knows how to get in contact with sasuke, please leave a post, but i see that previos requests went ignored, even by those that claim to be training for it. I want to try too, please?
And it’s a bit sad that you don’t think you could pass the quintuple step
I luv wachin Ninja Warrior i am obsessed wit dis show man. my favourite is Kazuhiko Akiyama & Nagano i luv watchin these guys. i’d luv to compete 1 day
Is it true that there will not be anymore Sasuke? If it is true that would royally suck a**.Has anyone heard anything?
