wow... I would really like to know how he would make enemy missiles "turn around", since Boeing and Raytheon can't seem to figure it out, and they have made the PAC-3, AEGIS SM-3, THEL, and Airborne Laser, which are all state-of-the-art anti-missile systems.

The answer is: You can't do it. Missiles have EM sheilding, which would make trying to "take-over" or "hack into" a missile and steer it off course during its flight impossible. Also, for ICBM/TBM's, the rocket motor burns out after it reaches a certain altitude, and it is essentially all down to physics after that because it is just falling to the earth in a parabolic arc. You have to use a missile that expolodes near it (blast radius), a kinetic hit-to-kill missile, or a laser to take those out.

Nakamatsu is an idiot if he thinks he can make missiles "turn around".

Here's an idea, leave the politics to the politicians (not that Ishihara is really a politician -- he's a short story writer), and the inventing to the inventors. The governor isn't supposed to be spending his time inventing stuff, that's why he commissions inventors to do it.

"...if he becomes governor..."

So he wont if not elected? "Screw you guys, I'm going home."

"...he will invent the ultimate missile shield to protect the nation’s capital from enemy attacks."

And what, it will be used to defend Tokyo... Only? What about the rest of Japan? "Screw you guys, home.. Ah Ah Ah, HOME."

Nut job...
