Top 10 Cars for 2007 are Japanese, so Consumer Reports makes an “American Style” Top 10 list

When Consumer Reports released its Top Picks for 2007 list of automobiles this month, all 10 of the picks were from Japanese manufacturers, with Honda and Toyota taking 7 of the 10 spots. Although several of the car models chosen are actually assembled in the United States, it might seem unpatriotic to some of Consumer Reports‘ American readers if they were to buy one of the cars on the list, so the magazine has released a second list: “Top Picks: American Style.” The new list is entirely made up of American-branded cars, so consumers can buy a car they would feel proud sticking nascar/US flag stickers all over.

Japanese Cars : Last Long, Cheap and Fuel Efficient too
American Cars : Big Machine, Fuel Eater, Interior sux in most cars, the good things is they are cheap but not last too long
German/Europe Cars : Last Long, Expensive, Interior and exterior Well-Crafted
pick your preference and enjoy the ride

I don’t see why this would go under anti-Japan?

Because Japanese cars are getting better and cheaper so fast that it makes more sense to buy them new. As for “40 or 80″ years old, don’t see too many of those on the roads. Especially 80. The only place where you see all those old American cars is Cuba.

Because Toyota/Nissan/Honda/Mazda/Subaru didn’t start selling vehicles in the US en masse until the 70’s?
