Osaka’s Punk Priestess

When the priest of Osaka’s Kakuryoji temple died, his punk daugher, Renzuki, became the priestess. Her decision to hold punk-rock funerals pissed-off the locals so much they stopped funding the temple and she had to use her own savings to keep the temple afloat. Since then, the eccentric punk priestess has used the temple for fashion shows, dance displays, a cafe, and a haven for 45 stray cats.
