The top 10 photos that foreign tourists are taking in Tokyo

March 10th, 2007 by James

Gabriel, who you might remember as the wacky foreigner who yelled “moe, moe, moe,” while dancing for Japanese TV cameras, has just posted a cool list of the top 10 photos that foreign tourists take in Tokyo (from a TBS TV report). Here are the top results, with flickr links to interesting photos tagged with each particular location:

  1. Kaminari-mon (Thunder gate in Asakusa: I am guilty of taking a picture of it, which I have posted above.)
  2. Tokyo Imperial Palace
  3. Asahi Beer Headquarters in Asakusa (aka “Golden Turd”)
  4. Shibuya Crossing
  5. Narita Airport
  6. Full list here!

“Golden Turd”? Let’s be clear – it’s a giant, swimming, Golden Sperm.
