A New Zealand-based website called “Hot Issues” is offering customers a chance to send anti-whaling propaganda postcards like the one pictured above to Japan:

This postcard will be printed on heavy postcard paper in full colour with photo-quality by us on your behalf and posted to a random address in Japan. It will be sent to a local news outlet or a small local business anywhere in Japan to tell their people that we don’t like their ships killing our whales.

There are currently three designs of postcards, including one with a picture of what appears to be a Japanese bonsai tree/rock garden with the following text printed next to:

Japan is a land of fascinating beauty and tradition.

Whaling is one of them, but please make it history.

Customers can also type their own custom message to be added to the card and preview what the card would look like afterwards. If the preview image is any indication of the final product, Japanese text input is not supported. I guess customers will just have to type their messages in a language most of the recipients will have trouble understanding. The company is charging 1.50 US Dollars for each card sent [the international postcard rate from New Zealand is approximately 1.04 US Dollars]. I wonder if they’re expecting to make a profit off this bizarre scheme?
