I don’t live in japan so maybe someone can answer my question. Why do all of these japanese shows have a window in the corner of the screen with someone reacting? It’s weird.

Is there any way that this can be translated? I’d love to include it in an upcoming presentation on the depiction and perception of otaku within Japanese media, but subtitles would be helpful. Thanks!
