Spinshell TV: online video for foreigners in Japan

February 11th, 2007 by James

A new media outlet called Spinshell TV, which provides streaming high-resolution video about Tokyo and the foreigners who live and work in Japan, has launched:

Original content includes the documentary series “Shoot Me,” profiling successful professionals; the short story series “Confessions,” where foreigners reveal their deepest secrets; visits to trendy restaurants; footage of club and live events; a comprehensive City Guide; a weekly newsletter with scoops on can’t-miss sales and suggestions for going out; events listings; and exclusive comedy skits in collaboration with the Tokyo Comedy Club.

I watched an episode of their “Shoot Me” documentary series, and it was interesting. I can’t say the same about the “Confessions” show, which I found to be pretty lame. The video quality was high though, and I’ll definately be keeping an eye on the site for future updates.
