There are many examples of foreign celebrities endorsing products in Japan, and the products aren’t necessarily what billionaires buy in Japan, you know.

Yes, I think the translation does say the opposite to what Leodardo seems to be saying. It seems that Leonardo is suggesting that comfort and the present moment be put before conscience and the future, whereas (if my Japanese reading is not mistaken) the translation says “lets make conscience a priority over comfort and the future over the present.” It’s funny, I didn’t really notice until I read what V wrote above…. maybe I didn’t find it so unnatural to hear a construction firm promoting impermanence and instant gratification above insight and forward planning. Tokyo can look like a crazy ugly mess at times and planning really doesn’t seem to be a priority nor does comfort. Of course there are much worse places to be on earth… Another thing sprung to mind, the notion that Leonardo seems to be inkling towards (albeit mistakenly) may be inclined towards a more traditional trend of eastern thought, that we live in an impermanent world and “the moment” is more important than the future. Is this the essence of the ephemeral sprawl that makes a Japanese city. Old ways and modern technology can create weird mutated urban worlds. The world of manga and anime being less than a fantasy, more of a actual reality. In any case it seems that Leonardo or more likely the translator is avin a larf.
