I liked Kelly in Japan. She showed a side of herself that I´ve never seen before. She is always portraied as a cursing, doped up little brat. In Japan she was a likeable, giggly young girl. I think that is what she is.

I for one will be tolerant about the show.
I haven’t seen the show, but I have read the link Ken provided. It surely seems the show takes a look at the peculiar aspect of Japan from a peculiar angle. But what I think Japan needs is to provide the multiple aspects of Japan.

For instance, Japanese TV often air the car race in the US. If that is the only news Japanese got about the US, people would think “wow, the US is a scary country.”But people know that is not all about the US.

My impression is that in general Japanese have been poor at sending the message to the world.

The show seems to be lame. What’s point of the show? To complain and superficial conclusions about Japan, Japanese culture and the Japanese people? It reminds me of “Lost in the translation”.

well there’s only been one episode so far right? i know it’s kind of useless to keep hope that she will learn something from her stay, but it’s kind of too early to call it a missed opportunity

I think japan should kick Kelly out!
As if shes a fan of japan..she knows sh*t all about japan and this TV program offends Japanese and certainly helps mis-educate the masses about Japan. This is more a program about kelly and some western attitude’s than learning anything about japan or even turning Japanese…as if! They could of learnt so much more… missed opportunity.
