Good for more than just studying

Since I bought the Rakubiki Jiten for the Nintendo DS, I have rarely played my other DS games due to the extreme usefulness of the program. But now I have another reason to always have the cartrige in: word is that there is a secret game hidden within the dictionary. Just type “ball” and click on the gray one that comes up. This is gonna have me scouring my dictionary for other secret games. By the way, I recommend this program as an excellent alternitive to the overpriced, and often less functional wordtanks out there.

i jus checked gamefaqs.com to see if there are any more codes. the only one they have is this, but its not spelled as balls.

the fourth one is “flagman”
so you’ve got ball, flagman, manhole, and judge
btw, they work in japanese and english, so ball and booru work, judge and saibankan, etc.
maybe it’s worth mentioning that if you type nintendo and maybe some other stuff, you’ll see a silver selection and it’ll make a mario coin noise.

I found the DS dictionary (and other electronic dictionaries from Japan) rather useless for trying to learn Japanese. They’re all designed for Japanese native speakers to learn English, not the other way around. If I type in ‘horse’, the result is a kanji definition that I probably won’t be able to read.

Actually, that is a good thing in my book, forces you to learn how to read and write kanji. It’s not for everyone though.
