I wanna be a vipstar (video)
If you live in Japan, you probably alternate between loathing and digging Ken Hirai’s “I wanna be a popstar” song. It’s a pop-phenomenon, approprately enough, that while annoying is catchy.
In a similar vein, if you live in Japan, you probably find the residents of 2chan both amusing and repulsive (mostly for Nevada-tan and Pedo-bear).
Anyways, the two are combined in this remix. Vipper is where the vipstar comes from. A vipper is a 2chan loser (outdone only by 4chan losers). They spend their time thinking of ways to draw ASCII cats and typing www (w for warau, to laugh). So now you know. I’m sure there are tons of inside jokes I’m not getting. Expereince the horror/joy of these two symbols of modern Japanese pop-culture.
