Out of Context English Comics
Today I was flipping through some English textbooks and I found these spectacular comics in the back “worksheet” area of one. I realize that they’re out of context, but I enjoyed them so much that way, I decided not to even look them up to see what they’re supposed to mean. Sorry for the crappy quality, I hope you can get some joy out of them anyway:

In this comic an old woman walks up to her car and sees a bunch of ruffians, at which point she pulls out a magnum and yells at them to “GET OUT OF MY CAR!!” They run away and she gets in her car. Then she gets out and scratches her head, at which point a policeman (or bobby) pats her on the shoulder for being so old and senile.

In this comic a bunch of robbers are stuck in a phone booth in the bank and being laughed at. But then they demand 10,000 pounds. NO! 1,000 pounds! When they negotiate down to 100 pounds, the clerks really laugh at them. Then they breakdance where the clerks REALLY laugh at them. The police (bobbies) arrest them for being such bad dancers and negotiators.
