Yutaka Fukufuji becomes the first Japanese-born hockey player to play in NHL

When the Japanese TV drama Pride aired back in 2004, it seemed highly unlikely that a Japanese hockey player would play for the NHL as occurred in the drama. It now looks like the show wasn’t that ridiculous after all:
Yutaka Fukufuji, a Japanese goaltender for the Los Angeles Kings made history today as he became the first Japanese born hockey player to play in the National Hockey League.
